in honor of the 300-year-old weeping cherry blossom tree,
the symbol tree of the local community.
The entire roof is covered with hand-carved copper plates,
allowing visitors to enjoy the changing appearance of the roof and plants
as they age and change with the seasons.
The exterior walls are made of burnt cedar,
the interior walls are plastered,
and the floors and furniture are made of chestnut.

Kodomari Fuji Rules

Kodomari Fuji has its own rules for the peace of mind of our guests, local residents, and future guests. We would appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • To avoid troubles, we do not allow anyone other than our staying guests to enter Kodomari Fuji. (Please refrain from inviting visitors.)
  • To enable our future guests to enjoy discovering Kodomari Fuji for the first time, please refrain from posting photos of the rooms on social media and blogs. You can post photos of the exterior of the building.
  • To ensure our guests can enjoy the seasonal scents of the surrounding area, please refrain from wearing perfume, fabric softener, or other strong fragrances (and for the sake of the next guests).
  • Kodomari Fuji is located in a small village where children and elderly people live. If coming by car, please drive slowly and safely. When walking through the village, please do not enter the surrounding rice fields and gardens without permission.

Amenities

We provide eco-friendly amenities. Please use only the amount that you need. Kodomari Fuji’s original full-body shampoo in the bathroom will make you feel as if you are taking a bath in the forest; it can be used on the hair, face, and body.

*Please bring your own loungewear if the above sizes do not fit. Also please bring loungewear for your child(ren).
